Dr. Spyros Arsenis, coordinator of the NBG Business Seeds program

Dr. Spyros Arsenis is coordinator of the NBG Business Seeds program and the initial coordinator of the act4Greece crowdfunding platform. Member of the advisory boards of Uni.fund, Metavallon, Big Pi and OK!Thess. Also member of the board of Hellenic Society of Environment and Cultural Heritage and member of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce’s Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee. He is an Electrical Engineer with 25 years of professional multi-sector, multi-discipline experience in Greece and abroad on international telecom projects, business banking and innovation, and is also the author of 7 books on ICT and the Internet.

Lefteris Arapakis, Co-founder & Director Enaleia

Lefteris comes from a long line of Greek professional fishermen. During the Greek economic crisis, he co-founded Enaleia, a social start-up with a vision to make the marine ecosystem sustainable. Enaleia has created the first school for professional fishing in Greece and a wide-scale plastic clean-up, the Mediterranean CleanUp, through working with a thousand fishermen, where the collected waste is integrated into the circular economy. Lefteris has been awarded as the UN European Young Champion of the Earth 2020. He is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business, a TEDx speaker, an Ashoka Changemaker, and he was listed in the Greek Forbes 30under30 list of 2020.

Εva Lianou, General Manager, John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation

Eva joined the Latsis Family Office in 2004 and currently holds the position of General Manager at the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. She has been a core staff member of the Foundation since its establishment in 2005 and over the past 15 years has assumed numerous administrative roles, curating a comprehensive grants portfolio across a wide range of thematic strands such as Education, Science, Arts & Culture, Social Welfare and Community Development. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics (MSc in European Politics and Governance), the ALBA Graduate Business School (MSc in Finance) & the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (BA in Communication and Media Studies). Eva has completed numerous workshops and training sessions of the European Venture Philanthropy Association on Social Impact Measurement, Venture Philanthropy and Impact Investing.

Michalis Goudis, Head of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Office in Greece

Michalis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. His Journalism and Mass Communication studies at Aristotle University were followed up by Radio & Data Journalism training at LfM in Düsseldorf and at DJS in Munich. As a journalist in Greece, he has reported, published and broadcasted for several magazines, online media and radio stations, while freelancing- especially at peak of the Eurozone crisis- for numerous European Media, including among others DIE ZEIT, ZDF, Songlines and Nieuwsuur. Moving to Brussels, after a valuable learning experience at the Press Unit of the European Parliament, starting in July 2013 and over a period of 7 years he’s been leading the communications work of Housing Europe, while being actively involved in the International Social Housing Festival. In the meantime, his persistent interest in cities gave a twist to his professional and educational path with a Master’s degree in Human Geography & Spatial Planning. Summer 2020 includes an exciting professional turning point that brings him back to his hometown to head the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Office in Greece with its talented team working closely with a wide range of partners on democracy, ecology and social solidarity economy.

Nikos Charalambides, Executive Director of Greenpeace in Greece

Studied Physics, Meteorology-Oceanology and General Oceanography in Athens and Paris. Since 1985 actively involved in nature conservation. Joined Greenpeace as ocean ecology campaigner. Later, he became coordinator of the campaigns department. Since 2002, he is the Executive Director of Greenpeace in Greece. Actively following the debate on energy-climate change for more than 20 years, focusing on solutions work. Also working in the direction of Green Development/ Green New Deal, focusing on the need to find solutions that will get us out of the multi crisis (climate, financial and social) while showcasing concrete examples. Focus on identifying synergies between humanitarian and environmental challenges. He has been Board Member in various bodies such as the National Organization for Recycling, the Climate Action Network – Europe and member in various Committees such as the National Committee for Energy Planning. Writer of several books and numerous articles on environmental protection, the role of civil society and NGOs, climate change, corporate responsibility, green development and sustainability.
